Burns Lake RV Park
Morning Sun
More good road for this 270 mile trip from Prince George to Cache Creek.
McLease Lake south of Prince George
Brookside RV Park We were assigned to our spot and this place is full! So much for the cut back in RV travel. Well, maybe there is, I can't be sure, but one thing I know is almost every park we have been to is full or almost full by the end of the day. In our line of RVs we just saw a super-sized diesel pusher from Texas pull in the very last spot. That was about 8:30 PM local time (pacific). Brookside RV Park is in a bowl at the rear of the park.
Just about every spot is occupied.
Bellingham RV Park
A sign was out Saturday that said "We're Full".

The road to Prince George
was a smooth 2 lane road, as has been most of the roads in this part of Canada (smooth south of Dease Lake). Prince George has all the things a modern medium sized town in the lower 48 has...Costco, Home Depot, Walmart and malls galore. It has over 75,000 people and this RV park doubles as a mobile home park and RV park. They are separated of course and it has a fast internet access point as did Burns Lake, which makes a big difference as far as I am concerned.
Entering Prince George, BC
Cache Creek, BC
There are several large lakes and rivers on this streach of road; McLease Lake, the Quesnel River and its lake, the Williams Lake and more. It's no wonder that most of the RV's we saw on the road had a canoe straped on it some where or was towing a boat. This is a boating pardise.
Once we got south of Dease Lake, last week, small towns we went through look pretty much like ones in the lower 48. Walmarts, Taco Bell, KFC etc....... just like home.
Here is an A & W at Williams Lake.
We even had a fruit tree at our spot. You have to be careful where you step.

Bellingham, Washington
On the road to Bellingham
There are hundreds of streams and rivers in this area of British Columbia.
Even though most all the roads in Canada are two lanes, it was good road from Cache Creek to drive on and there were frequent passing lanes.
Here the road (TC-1) cuts right through a moutain.
Mountains to the east nearing the Canadian border.
This is our spot...close to the office.
